How many diver shaft U joints are there on a 4wd the people at summit said 5 or 6 I forget. Is there really that many of them? I know there are 4 at least, I guess there is one hiding under that rubber pice on the front drive shaft?

 

there are three on the front shaft. The 'joint at the t'case has two.

 

Well I got 6 coming just incase I **** one of them up.

 

yea i think its 3 on the front shaft, 2 on the rear, and one on each front wheel

 

The front shaft where it connects to the transfer case is a CV(Constant Velocity) joint and will have two joints in them.

 

Max, there is also a ball and spring setup between the CV joint on the front shaft. Make sure you get those parts as well. They are probably shot too.

Hey, how much did the u-joints run ya for the rear shaft? The dealership in town wants $115 to $125 depending on the drive shaft (1 piece, 2 piece.).
I found some online for $58.46, for both shafts. Mopar parts.
I can save $190 dollars in labor, and avoid being bent over.

 

Like 20 bucks a pop. Call summit they will get you the right parts. I had mine in 3 days from ohio to pa.
