96's have an obd port
SCT is 96 & up
Hypertech is 97 & up

14x3" works but you must be in central/northern state
Deep south go with cai
FYI, my ramairbox & mild 5.9/saw .5psi boost @ 70mph(back to vac with higher rpms)
5.2 may see slightly more boost with that setup.

Filter material used in the 14" open (or ramairbox) makes a HUGE difference.
K&N E1650 is the filter to use IMHO
If you just used a paper filter you have NOT tried a 14" open
Spectre may have similar design but the box is smaller.
Larger the box the better it will be off the line
Like to see an accurate direct comparison on its filters to a same sized K&N out of curiousity

Aims is correct!
Only place you can accurately dyno any intake setup is inside a wind tunnel
Wind speed must match roller/tire speed to get real world results.
1/4m gives real world results, these different setups have been tested by a bunch of us (another site) many years ago.

At this point I think I'm going with BigSlick050 and the K&N. I like what I've heard, plus the look and fit as seen mounted in a few peoples trucks. Anyone have pics of the Spectre in their truck???

why is it in that goofey looking box? wouldnt it be better to run it without the box around it? j/w i have my cai on my honda right were it can suck in the cold air, with no box around it. Or is that box just like a condom, keepin your cai clean from bad things that could harm it? Like water, etc... when offroad?

That box is to enclose the filter so it only pulls cool air from the stock location. A filter on the end of a pipe, like your CAI, is not a cold air intake, as it is pulling in hot air from the engine bay, might as well run a 14x3.

Hey Ramsport, that's one nice looking set up. Just thought I'd give credit where credit's due.
