I am liking this setup!
No low end loss I have detected at all, maybe a slight gain (butt dyno).
Truck pulls really hard up through the RPMs. It's actually a little rich at half throttle (12.3-12.5), probably due to lower temps at the IAT. Been on one hell of a bad road at 30 mph, and up to 65MPH and nothing's worked loose yet. The truck really wants to go when you get up to about 50mph.
Gonna take the snap on with me in a bit to see what IAT temps and MAP readings are at 70-80mph.

No boost. At 99* on the overhead, the IAT stabilizes at 136*. At WOT, dead stop to 85mph, IAT dropped to 118* and stayed, I assume this is the temp of air just above the road. MAP vacuum was 0.9 in/Hg.
Knowing that vac is still pulling air at WOT means I can safely fab rain shields with no fear of reduced power.
WOT has gone rich again at 12.3-12.4.

I'd like to tryout a 52mm TB and see the Pros/cons of it on my setup. I think without a cam, the 50mm fastman is probably enough, but you don't know until you try.

Hemifever brought up an interesting point.
He's concerned that the setup may not be making as much HP as the open air hat. The drop in A/F ratio at WOT from 12.8 to 12.3 may mean that less fuel was needed than before, thus there could be less air flowing and less power might be being made.
The cooler IAT sensor temps may not be the reason for the drop in A/F ratio.
Something to ponder.
