Default Battery/starting/stalling problem

Ok I hope someone can help me. I went out of town for a week. When I got home I started my truck. I took it down the road about a mile. When I got home I was backing my truck down my driveway. At the end I was idling and my truck just stalled. I try-ed to restart it and it wouldn't even click. I checked it with a meter and it had 11 volts. So I put my battery charger on it to get it started. I used a meter to check the alt and it was putting out 14volts. What could cause this? Thanks for any help

Any corrosion or obvious problems preventing charging?
Will it start if you jump it off? How well does it run when you remove the jumper cables? Check the battery to see if it's swelling...sign the battery is failing.

So it runs fine now? Only things that could cause the no click problem is a dead battery or loose ground.

Ive only run it for a few min sense it stalled It was idling and when I would turn on my head lights I would have to give it gas to keep it running. I let the battery charge on a 2 amp charger all night then took it to 3 parts stores and two said the battery was good. Then I took it to where I got it thay said it was too low to check so thay charged it and said it was a good battery.

Everything you're telling me says the battery is on its last leg.

well I got a new battery in Jan of 09 by Nov it was bad I took it back and got a New one for free. That is the one I have now. The truck is acting the same as last time. But this time they wont replace the battery unless the scanner says it is bad.

could it be a bad ground? My 1994 wouldn't even crank over at one point, thought the battery was shot as it was an older battery anyway, but it turned out it was a bad ground, fixed the ground and the truck started wonderfully again.
