'99 Ram 2500 Wont start

Default '99 Ram 2500 Wont start

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 5.9 liter it was running i replacet the transmission not its not starting at all i checked the crankshaft position sensor thats is alright i replaced the Ignition coil and distributor and rotor its firing and wants to start put wont run Can i get some advice please im bazzeld thanks

Check fuel pressure.

If you are getting spark, that is the next big question.

Im gettin spark and fuel im sure im gettin cuse i pressd the pressure on the fuel rail and gas came squrtin out kinda new 2 all of this

But, are you getting ENOUGH gas?

Try pressing the pedal to the floor, and see if it will start.

Probably sync is off.... not sure if you can set that without a scan tool....

So i need 2 invest in a scan tool huh how much would a garage charge 2 do this

Probably an hour labor to diagnose, and then whatever (if any) to fix.

Scan tools that can do what you need are hideously expensive, measured in thousands of dollars...... I have been looking for a software package that can serve that purpose, but, details on them are sketchy at best...... Needless to say, I haven't found one yet.

If it was running fine before the trans replace I would put my money on the CPS. If you didn't remove it before changing the trans, there is a good chance it's damaged. How did you check it? You could also check all grounds and fuses and relays. And get a fuel pressure tester to check it properly.
