Default think my plenum crapped the bed again :(

the 1st owner says he did it, and right now my truck is running like a pig bad idle also, not running like it used to , and now im getting bad spark knock.. im thinking my plenum crapped the bed again, the guy before me prob used the same plate. so here is my deal

im wantting the airgap, but i think with the mods i have in my sig i think i can maybe support the m1 , but im really lost on what to order, like M1 wise ?2 0r 4 barrle, throttle body adapter, fuel rails, what all do i have to order to make this work , and would it really come out to be cheaper than the airgap...

or should i just order a plate and call it a day , right now i just cant afford anything, i may just switch in some new plugs and see if that works . '

Get the plate, and associated hardware, and call it a day. (verify that it is indeed blown first.....)

If whomever did the job last time just changed the gasket, and reused everything else, they didn't fix anything.

You could also do that mod on the manifold runners while you're in there.

Ok dumb ***. Sound like someone needs break lines more than an air gap. That thing is an OVERPRICE pice of aluminum.

Let's concentrate on the problem. Check the plenum, and we"ll go from there.

yes get the plate, and do the kegger mod....thats what i did, and also bring the manifold to a machine shop and have them clean it....i had mine looking brand new inside and out for 40 bucks....not a bad deal when you see how much better it will run...

this is what mine looked like after i got it back from the machine shop...before i did kegger mod.....if anyone remembers i broke my camera before i could get pics of kegger mod

trust me, getting it cleaned made a difference, i can tell it runs cleaner....hard to explain

If I was you, I'd cut it first, then get it cleaned. Then you would be sure there's no metal shavings or anything else stuck in there.
