Hello, if you're claiming the deleted cat should not effect the Pre O2 sensor, then why is mine running like crap!!...My torque app shows the sensor incomplete? A new O2 sensor was installed when I deleted the cat and dual exhaust done.
I'm believing there has to be a certain amount of back pressure for the O2 sensors to respond correctly. What is the best way to correct this?? ECM update??, Install High Flow Cat? that I don't really want to do??...Any REAL HELP would be Greatly Appreciated!!...

What brand O2 sensor did you install?

The sensor reads exhaust flow, it really doesn't care if there is a cat after it or not.

I don't have the box right now but, I think was a NGK??..
Local parts store in Charleston SC. I gave them the the info on 1996 Dodge B2500 Van... Again, my torque app is showing the O2 sensors incomplete.

That's the right brand at least.

I think there is a fair bit that needs to happen before all the monitors will show complete. I do believe there is a list in the service manual.

But, there are a lot of reasons it can run like crap. Some as simple as a corroded distributor cap, all the way to burnt valves.

Default 96 Dodge B2500 5.2

It has a new cap and rotor, not sure about the wires but they are aftermarket. I just bought this van, so I'm trying to get it right!!, and I'm not a Dodge man!!.. Chevy's most of my 62 years!!... The motor run better before I had the dual exhaust installed and cat removed!!....that's why I joined this site because I seen where someone else had the same situation.

Changing your exhaust didn't make your truck run poorly. Try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes so the computer resets.
