better drum shoes
Is there any company that makes better brake pads/shoes for the rear for my 1500? Or am I stuck just getting the "best cermanics" that NAPA has? There are a bunch of options for the front, but I don't need those. Aside from having to cronically adjust the rear adjuster wheel....more rear brake would be nice. Especially since we have ABS in the back why not run a more aggressive pad?
I have noticed while towing (even w/ the brake controller) that the 1st axle to lock up is the fronts, then the trailer...so again more brake from the rear axle would be nice.
thanks in advance...

I went with the bigger dodge wheel cylinders for the rear and it made quite a difference and the chevy 1-tons are a tad bit bigger and people have had good luck with them.
And I have not seen any aftermarket shoes but you might want to check out EBC they might have some

If you don't mind paying for what you're getting, check out these carbon Kevlar brake shoes at Circle Track Supply.
I haven't yet encountered any aftermarket better-than-OEM drums for 2nd gen Rams. Then again, I'm nowhere near needing any so haven't looked too hard. Has anyone found any?

I worded my post wrong, sorry. Upgrading rotors easy. The drums have to be top of line Raybestos(for example) or OEM. Not some Chinese junk steel from Advance or Autozone. They will warp/wear just like cheap rotors from the heat, although not as noticeable as a rotor does with pulsating.
Thanks for the replies, i will look into upgrading the wheel cylinders.
$180 for the kevlar ones seem a but nuts, considering a FLAPS is $30 for normal stuff, but....we might just consider that.
I JUST noticed that Wanger makes a "SevereDuty" line. Anybody got any info on those?

EBC doesn't make rear shoes... :S
