Antifreeze will actually freeze if left unmixed with water. It reaches it's optimum boiling/freeze point at a ratio of 50/50. 44% to 68% - REALLY - who the h*** is going to measure that closely (other than the drunk engineers?)

You will be good at 50/50.

Someone is bad at math as well. 44 + 68 = 112

I would be really hard pressed to figure out how to do that......

See? That's why there is TSB. Most of us do good to 100% into the radiator. Maybe it will hold 112% after a good burping! But 50/50 is easier for me to calculate so that is why I use it!
