Everybody talks about drone, i struggle to hear it or understand it anyway. My trucks never bothered me but anytime someone rides with me they complain. Its hard to fix something when I don't understand what it is.

One man's drone, is another man's engine song.

I put an Edelbrock cat back on my Formula..... and the cat mysteriously fell off during the process, not sure how that happened...... But, after it was installed, I LOVED the sound, and never turned on the radio again. Even when I was commuting between Adrian and Cleveland.... It just sounded soooo goood... My dad thought it was too loud.

Thr GF's sister rode with me when I hauled some limbs for her. She complained about how loud my truck is. I think it''s a nice smooth rumble. I wonder what she would say if I fire up my Triumph Trophy 900 with the cut off pipes.

I wonder where they are finding the mufflers of today that "crackle"? Don't understand it! It doesn't sound good at all. I always used some sort of turbo mufflers back before Flowmasters became a thing. My truck came with a "Mac"(flowpath i think they call them) muffler. I never heard of them before but they make a lot of stuff for furd's. It's a chambered muffler and i like the sound. It's not as loud as the quietest one they test in the video. It rusted out and i put on the same one but 100% stainless and it's been on there ever since.

Back in the late 1960's, some Chevy performance cars like Camaro's had chambered exhaust. No mufflers, just chambered pipes. Great for exhaust flow. Rotten on production cost. I'm thinking it was stock on the Z28 in 1967 or '68.
