So yesterday I went mudding and went through some pretty deep water. My check engine light came on then it went off. Now it seems to have no power when I try to take off. Once it gets going it has some power but seems like shes struggling.
water got somewhere it shoudlnt be and caused a misfire on a couple cylinders, and possibly got into tranny harness, let the truck sit for awhile and dryout, and see if it goes back to normal
i would pull distributor cap and spay some wd40 in there it will dry out any water...my dakota mud truck kept getting water in the cap so i finally put some silicone on it
Hopefully your trans fluid doesn't look like Pepto Bismol cause if it does your gonna have to dig deep into your wallet I know this from experience . Still trying to work the bugs out $2500 later .
sorry for the lack of info. It is a 95 1500. It is starting to get better day to day. I think the lack of power is because sometimes it isn't going into first but other times it is fine.
