See if you get spark, and fuel pressure.

Default yep no spark

I had pushed it bit too high rpm then heard something pop... I jsut verified I have no spark

what do you think it could be? does something blow to protect the motor like rev limiter or something because I pushed it and kills spark like fuse?

Check the crank sensor on the back of the block, passenger side. If that looks ok, I would run a compression check. You might have tossed some valve train components.

You are going to have to crawl up in there to find it.... don't have any pics, sorry... You could grab the 01 service manual from the faq section here, it might have a diagram of some sort to show you where it is.

How does it sound when it is cranking? Normal? Or does it 'freewheel'..... lousy term.. but, not sure how to describe what I am getting at..... does it sound like you are getting compression on all cylinders?

Yes, it sounds normal- it doesnt freewheel...

question on the crankshaft position sensor.. does it not bolt in like I see many others? If I post a pic would you tell me if that is it or Im looking at the wrong thing

What im looking at is on pass side far back on block but adjacent to distributor, looks almost like teflon in but i think it screws in w/ wire cap or some connector on top- is that it?

I've mirrored the area and dont see anything else unless I need to be looking from the ground up the back of block

Please let me know and thanks again for the help
