I think some of the roller rockers specifically tell you NOT to use the guide plates.

Well I can say that two company's do need you to run guild plates with the adj rockers, Mopar performance and CraneCams. You do what you want but I would look into more than just saying no. You can see the guild plates and nylon runners in the pic.

Those be self aligning RR. RPM limited. They work Pending springs/retainers(installed HT). Thats pending valves used (length). Lots of ways of doing it.

Sale them get set up with GP. Cant use both with SA RR.

You don't need guide plates with Crowers...Didn't need em on mine and I abuse the hell out of em.

I'd verify the valve train geometry (pushrod length) once you get it back together, especially if you change the cam from what it came with.

Don't worry about putting the rockers/pushrods in different locations, I don't even worry about the lifters...These aren't flat tappets. I pull em out and toss em in a box Nothing rusts here...I mean NOTHING.

But I do pay attention the location of the valves and if their are any shims under the springs.

Cranes are the same as Mopar, and you are correct...They both need guide plates...I had 1.7s on mine, sold em for the 1.6 Crower SS Rockers, which do not require guide plates.

He won't spin the motor fast enough to worry about the rockers, he'll run out of steam way before that, he's doing more of torque build...But if anything is going to limit the RPMs on a magnum 5.9, it's the lifters, they are good to 6500, although some guys do spin em higher...tic tic tic....

I'm running what are essentially shimmed lifters, they don't bleed down, aren't prone to collapsing at 7K, and I set em with a feeler gauge.

Just wondering...Do you know how to adjust your valves?

Need a MOPAR valve lash chart..?
