to tell you the truth, it has been fun and ive learned ALOT! sometimes i coud do without the headache though!

the intake gaskets appear to have been shaved identically...

Have a look, compare gaskets, match 'em to the manifold, see which way they fit best, then match gaskets to heads, see which way THEY fit best. ( or if it even matters....) assemble that way.

just got word back from J-2 racing. he said the wall thicknesses check out just fine. im going to pick it up tomorrow, order pistons, gapless seconds, and then take it back up to Abacus and have another 10 taken out as well as have them press on the new pistons and install rings. anything else i should have them do?

ill also run the numbers by you guys when i get the papers tomorrow

Is this thing gonna be your daily driver? Ive read most of this thread and it sounds like its gonna be niceeee when its finally done.

yessir! 9.8:1 compression with my cam will run like a champ on 94. i hope to be in the vicinity of 400 hp. everythings finally falling into place.

ill post pics when i have all parts cleaned up and ready to assemble in my garage, as well as the build process and assembled engine. im not quite at that stage yet

the shame of it all- a 5.7 will do that dang near stock.. or around 300~310.. but he will have a platform to do a lot more with it should he choose- AND, I figure a stroked magnum will outlast a hemi any day if they're both built solid.. but this is just my figurin'..
