I would think the MLS would be adequate to the task. Not like you are going to be running boost.....

as close as you can get to what you ended up with. Opinions differ on going larger, or smaller. (unless the piston comes above the deck, then the choice is obvious.

alot of them seem to be 4.180, however i did find a 4.040, but would that be too small?

a .039 gasket puts me at 10.1:1 on 93 octane

Im pretty sure cometic can make their MLS gaskets custom, (to a point, they add layers of steel gasket to adjust thickness) but as they do that, im sure they'll have a ring size that fits correctly. Call and ask.

Those cometic gaskets will also take a bit of boost too, though I don't know if you'd do that on hyper pistons.

so custom is the way to go?

by reducing quench to .040, will i compromise p2v?

May have to cut the pistons a bit for valve clearance, but, that is a small price to pay for proper quench.

It's a way to go, not the cheapest, but the best way to get exactly what you need.

A thinner head gasket will make the p2v clearance smaller, but not necessarily unacceptable. It depends on the cam specs and your piston reliefs more than anything.
