408 stroker build
I'm leaving the short block build to the Kammer and Kammer guys, it's over my head...And the guy I bought the short block from is going to drop it off to those guys for a re-build. I'm just gonna write the checks

Don't mean to jack your thread, but during your build I found a good deal on the crank/rods/block...I've had but the everything but the 408...Now I do
There was a guys over on bionic that just lost his 408 to a broken forged Eagle crankshaft. Another guy commented that is not the first time he'd heard that about an Eagle crankshaft.
Eagle crankshafts are not thought of highly over there. Seems most of the cranks Eagle makes nowadays are cast or forged in China, with less quality control than there used to be.

Pictures of broken Eagle cast cranks are all over Moparts.com, no one uses em anymore...Ot at least they only use em once...
Funny, the Mopar cast cranks are good, never heard of one of those snapping.
