just realized that he forgot to clay it...

in an effort to get this build moving, ill refrain from taking it back and do it myself...

so all i need are solid flat tappet lifters from an LA 360? or do they have to be roller

i was planning to use my .055 head gasket and just subtract .016 for the .039 gasket that i will be using.

So long as the flat tappets are the exact same length as the rollers they will work for that purpose. Use assembly lube on the flat tappet to keep it from gouging your cam.

You can also make a roller lifter into a solid lifter by removing the lifter cup and installing washers to reach the correct height.

No clue. you'll either have to measure, or find the specs somewhere.

anybody want to give me a hand with oil ring installation...

install expander, then 2 scrapers on top and and bottom of expander. BUT like there was with the old pistons, is there something that should hold the expander ends together?

does the end gap on the expander or scraper rings need to be modified?
