408 stroker build
There may be an issue with clearance on the m1. Ask richard at hipotek, I recall him machining a water neck that was bowed to fit an application, but that may have been the weiland tunnel ram intake he was working on, its been too long to recall.
You are definitely getting to the point where the questions might be beyond the average knowledge of most of the board members here, might want to go check out a few boards where the guys build more radical engines.
I wasn't lying when I said a dial calipered those felpro gaskets, they were in my engine for 20k and metered in at .055.

For vacuum, you can just score a standard vacuum pump, and plumb it so it supplies the appropriate devices. I would leave the brake booster hooked to the intake though. Make sure any pump you get is rated for continuous duty.
i beleive you, i just couldn't find a spec on the one at advance.
i think ill go with the m1 for now and give it a try, see how i like it. i dont really have another $600 to drop on an Airgap. the 408 crowd seems to like them. not sure what the RPM range is since it was a custom grind and i dont have the paperwork, just the specs.
you guys look at my list of "dilemmas" on the last page?

The m1 does work well for the 408 as the extra cubes tend to use that available air better that the smaller stroked 360. Depending on the exact plan, whether you are looking for racing or just gobs of torque, the 2 bbl m1 might be a better bet.
If you have the cam specs, plug them into the comp cams program and it should give you the power range details, or call comp with the specs and they may be able to give you an idea of where its producing power.

it is going to be a daily driver, but as long as its going to bolt right up, which it should since i discovered that it is the magnum style mpi, ill use it.
i can fine tune and attempt to optimize power once i have some more money and a new trans
i cant seem to find the program on comp?

when youre looking at the front of it the LA intake water neck hole will be centered between the runners. the magnum waterneck hole has a stepped grove and is offset to the right and angled.
what engine is it for?

I think the program is called cam quest, its available for download on rm indy's rampage website.
@ Clubcab- make sure the intake you are looking at has fuel injector bungs at the end of each cylinder's runner. No bungs, and you'll be cussing, or switching to a carbed setup. I don't think any LA engines had mpi, the later years had throttle body injection. And the loss of low end on a 4bbl might be significant.
