Cool. Yeah, having the fuel system in good shape for that is definitely a good plan.

ordered a delphi fuel pump from rockauto for $200, cant beat the price!

i was going to remove the bed and go that route... is the haynes procedure really necessary (releiving fuel pressure etc.) or can i just remove the bed and pull the pump, no questions asked?

Depends on how long it sits after last running, and how adventurous you are.

If you have the valve on top of the fuel rail, you can relieve pressure there.... or, you you can take your chances when you pull the line off the current unit. (make sure you take the gas cap off first though.)

I really don't know which is easier.... drop the tank, or lift the bed..... Suppose it depends on how much gas is in the tank.

Wouldn't surprise me...... seems american automakers can't make up their minds if they want to do standard, or metric, so, they use both.... fun huh?

ok, got the new pump in, but it seems to be leaking just a hair where the line hooks up to the pump... what to do?

i replaced the plastic lock tab and that didnt help... is it the fuel line itself?

dealer only part?

anyone tackled this? it seems like it disconnects under the driver door, but i cant figure out how to disconnect it.

this is truly annoying, i try to fix one thing, and another breaks...wtf chrysler
