Grab one of the rebuild kits for 100-150 bucks. Comes with all gaskets, seals, bearings, and snap rings. I think the higher zoot ones even come with a new chain. Don't skimp on parts here. You wanna do this job ONCE, so, do it right, then you won't have to do it again.

to be honest i was a little intimidated by a complete rebuild and was just going to do the chain. you think a complete rebuild is necessary?

is it a 16mm or 24 mm input bearing?

For the price difference, and considering you already have it out....... no better time than the present. Transfer Case saver is a must as well.

I love spending other peoples money. Must be why I enjoyed doing mechanic work so much......

whats the difference b/w 94-97 and 98-00 t-cases? will the 98-00 work w/ mine?

i guess ill go ahead and put the saver on it now and then rebuild it after i get my 408, when im replacing the trans
