Default 4 wheel drive wont work

on my 01 dodge 2500 my 4wheel drive wont engage.i looked underneath the passenger side and there was a black and red vacuum line that was broke. i fixed them and now it still wont engage. i was told about fixing the 4wd switch but i dont know anything about the 4wd setup.

Also how do i remove the front oxygen sensor off my truck. i have tried everything to it,I have heated it with a torch, used everytool available, all it has done is stripped it out on like 2 sides.I was told to use some type of lubricant on it it is in a orange can, I have been fighting with this for like the last three months and its screwing my truck up.

If you are going to replace it...... Just use a pipe wrench to grab a hold of it, and then whack the end of the wrench with a hammer (big one....) until it breaks loose. Chemicals like PB Blaster, Freeze Off, Knock 'r loose, etc, certainly won't hurt. Mine was a real bear to get out too. The two foot pipe wrench, and the 3 pound hammer finally convinced it though.

you're going to have to get mean with it.

get a can of PB-Blaster penetration oil and soak the threads several times per day for a couple of days. get a good pair of vice grips that can really clamp down on it and not strip or round it any further. put a piece of pipe on the end of the vise grips for more leverage. use a torch to heat the sob up as hot as you can get it. a plumber's propane torch is good enough, but it'll take a few minutes to get it really hot - don't get burned.

now lay into it with the pipe. make sure you're turning it the right way

i fixed the 4wd problem, Thanks for all the help on that.

On my other dodge my brother decided that cutting the o2 sensor completely off was the right idea, well it wasnt he cut it completely flush so i cant use anything to get it off. Can i just cut a new hole below the old o2 and weld in a new nut for it because ithere is no threads showing for the old o2 and its killin my truck.

Ooops......

What did he cut it off with? If you have a wizz wheel, just cut out the current bung, and weld in a new one......

LOLOLOL. One of my favorite tools for exhaust work.

Can you bust up whats left? And clear the hole that way? (fishing it out of the cat might be fun though......)
