Engine or Tranny pull
#11
I haven't pulled the engine from one of these, haven't even thought about it enough to go looking at what's required... but in the past, when given the choice I'd lift the engine every time rather than drop the transmission. It's usually easier and safer, and not so miserable when it's cold out.
If you go that route, please report back how painful or painless it was.

Zman I have yet to figure out how to remove the transmission without first removing the the bell housing bolts from the engine.
I believe that I'm going to be miserable tomorrow either way I go but not wanting to replace the kegger and if I can't figure a really good way to hook on the engine with out removing a lot of stuff it's going to be laying on the ground all day for me. I was not really planning to pull the engine all the way out just forward enough to get at the clutch Assy.
Thanks for all the input guys.
