Default 1997 stuck in second gear.

i have a 97 1500 2wd automatic. 318. just recently it started hanging up in second gear. i have to run up to about 4500rpm's and let off the gas to get it to change to 3rd and after that it shifts fine in all other gears.

it was rebuilt by Aamco in oct. 07 and they have 36-36000 mile warrenty and it is expired. it has about 40000 miles since the rebuild. it does not make any noise. no roaring or clicking or banging. nothing like that. it does leak fluid from the pan. the bolts are tight and torqued correctly but it drips about a drip an hour when cold and a little more when hot. over tightning is bad i understand, so i just add fluid (AFT-4) every so often. i did use a dirty funnel onetime. i cleaned it with a rag but i did not have any brake cleaenr or solvent like that. help!!!! i changed the fluid and the filter but did not adjust the bands. IS THAT WRONG?

Governor Pressure Solenoid. and Governor Pressure Sensor. (or, possibly Transducer)

There is also a kit available to convert the dodge system, to the GM system, which is reportedly more reliable.

THM350C??? Turbo Hydramatic 350???? That's a GM trans...... Where did you get that info?
