Default help!!!! before the snow! look

Are the Dana 60 and Dana 44 CAD housings interchangeable? My shift fork is shot and were going to get a ton of snow and I need 4wd. Does anyone know if there interchangeable?

Orrrrr does anyone in NJ have a front Dana 44 laying around they'd wana sell me the CAD out of ASAP today!

Your best bet to find one today would be to hit a junkyard.

i pretty sure they are the same, the shift fork in the d60 i think is steel vs cast in the d44

I thought both shift forks were cast and only steel forks were aftermarket.

I'm at the.junkyard now.and can't get.it.off. I couldn't get my Dana 60 cad To fit in the 44

Throw a few sandbags over the rear axle and you wont need 4WD.

Which one you trying to get off? On the donor truck, or yours? There is only four bolts. Though, they do tend to like to break. (major pain in the rear.)

It looks like the 94-01 Dana 44 and 94-99 Dana 60 CAD share the same parts.
That is the shift fork and collar.
Dana changed the 60 in 00-02 and even in those years the collar was different based on BOM (bill of material) I'm unsure of the fork being different within this 00-02 period.
Quad shows the different parts based on year.
The 00-02 info I got from Dana/Spicer
They all share the same cover between years though.

My cad actuator pin is bent so I rearranged the snap rings and forced it into 4wd full time for the snow down here. Not sure what part of your fork is shot, but that may be a quick solution, took about 15 min.
