I didn’t think it looked correct myself.. I spun the differential both directions and unable to get the drive side to mark… I can’t figure that one out..

If your ebrake works..... set it with some tension, but, not so tight that you can't turn anything, and use a wrench on the pinion to turn it. Should give you a good pattern.

Ok.. I have a dumb question… Maybe I can get some clarification on this. The smallest diameter of the ring gear is that the “TOE”? If so, That would make the largest diameter of the ring gear the “HEEL”?

The dive side of the gear would that be the convex side or the concave?

I appreciate all the help..

Drive is the Convex side, Coast or reverse is the concave one

Any luck with this? I rebuilt a 9.25 in an '03 putting in motive 4.56's. I posted in 3rd gen - general if you're interested in the hassles I had. some was lack of info, some was lack of patience, some was lack of focus. I'm swapping out all bearings today and hope this will be it.
