Using 10w30 dino oil. The truck was not really well maintained by the previous owner either......
Oil pump swap was easy. Took me about two hours, working in my driveway..... I installed a high volume pump, simply because of the high mileage. I am very pleased with the results.
Using 10w30 dino oil. The truck was not really well maintained by the previous owner either......Just thought I'd jump in here. I've got a 99 2500 5.9 with 220,000 miles. Runs good and after just spending 2 grand on a new trans, it drives good too. While messing around with the snap on scanner, I realized that my warm oil pressure drops to 7psi all the time as I come up to a stop sign. Kinda freaked me out because I plow with it and have several accounts.
I assume I have worn internals and am plannin a rebuild in the summer. Just read the posts by HeyYou and wondered if I could hear more about the oil pump swap...
