well i planned on getting my tires and the sct tuner for the motor anyway.. but now that i have to get the motor, i will be getting the motor and an sct tuner.. lol

should make a little bit more power then my tired old 93 dakota motor that was in that truck, still had 248k on the motor..

So does anyone have input on weather I can use my torque converter or do I need another one.. or is it flex plate or what?

I would have gotten a new one, but had no money. You probably should get one that is more suited for how you use the truck.

You have to use the flexplate from/for the 360 no matter what.

Internal balance on the 318 vs. external balance on the 360. If you use the wrong one, you will dramatically shorten the life of your engine.

Yea, i know the balacibg, but I thaught thw balance comes fron thw torque converter

Wrong, and I was just on PATC website and could not find any difference between 318 and 360 TC's. Maybe call them or a local tranny shop to confirm.
