Not sure on that....... dealer is hideously expensive...... can't search here on PCM, as it is too short of a search term..... Do any of your local yards have a parts locator service?
Im also looking for a wiring harness for the fuel pump, a while back my fuel pump stopped working and i replaced it but the new fuel pump didnt work, so i was just tinkering and plugged back up my old fuel pump and it started working, in an attempt to test voltage on the pump wires i cut them, and had to splice them back together, i dont like the idea of spliced fuel pump wiring so im trying to find the fuel pump plug wires and all, cant seem to find one, also whats the name of these wires? is it just fuel pump wiring harness?
Take the alternator out and have it tested by someone who knows how to hook it up to the machine properly, before spending money on the PCM.
will do went and got my truck back from the mechanic, he says its the pcm but im not sure bout that either. gonna tinker myself. and i just realized i didnt unhook the battery wehen i replaced the alternator, could this have had an effect on my pcm, also their is an external plug on the back of the alternator that i beleive is used to hook up a diagnostic machine

been tinkering going over what ive already done before, switching around relay's, checking wires etc. no difference, but i wonder is their way to check for voltage on the alternator? well a homemade way to check without taking it somewhere? still looking like pcm tho
Got a volt meter? Start the engine, test the voltage at the battery. It should be between 14 and 16 volts. If it reads 12volts or so, alt is not charging battery. You can also test at the output terminal on the alternator, if you are showing over 14 volts there, then the problem is in the wire to the battery.
Testing it in the vehicle is NOT going to isolate whether or not it's the alt. or the battery or the PCM. I would not have walked out of any parts store with an alt. that was not charging on the test equipment. The alt is bad or they have no idea how to hook it up to run a proper test.
