Yeaa long arm is great, especially if I want to jump my 7000 pound truck at 80. Its just a street truck and hauler. No reason to spend the money on materials to make super hd upper and lower control arms, for a truck that will not see thaat demanding of a use. Nice clean drop down bracket on a street trck, I am cool with that.

For my off road vehicles.. now that's another story. I would be doing things differently if it was gonna be a trail truck.

Well since the 2500 and 1500 share front end parts, I would say the upper control arm is one for a 1500, and the PO probrably went with a spacer because it was easier than trying to find lift springs for the cummins

Are you sure that drop bracket will be strong enough as it is?
I would add some 1/8" plate gussets to add some strength to it like this.

I would probably weld some of that 1/8" plate to both gussets to connect them on each side for even more strength.

Well I still have some tweaking to do to straighten out the allignment but, other than that she rides so good. I was a lil dissapointed in the coils tho, because the spring rate is lower than I expected so they settled a lot. So the front only came up about 2 inches but I am ordering some f250 6 inch lift springs and that will get her sittin right. I had to do a very minor trim for turning clearance, but o put the mudlfaaps back on, and ull never know. Lol.

But overall I am very happy with how it all worked out.

I am going to cnc some reinforcement like you suggested, but doing it for more asthetic than anything, it will have my business logo cut into em.

I drove it home last night, was just stupid tired and didn't get online. But without further adue, here's beefy, sittin on. 37s
