anyone had any luck installing KC 6" behind the grill? i know the Hella 500's are the most popular but I want more wattage. Would LOVE to put some Hella 4000 Euro Beams in there but they are too pricey for me right now.

If you have some then zip tie them in place and close to hood to see if you have the clearance you need.

H4k's will not fit behind the grille.

Let me rephrase that. H4k's won't fit behind the grille of pretty much any pickup truck. They are huge.

They're a really large lamp, and quite heavy. They need to be mounted to a very solid surface. Usually a large tab, attached to a light rack or bumper.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I will try the Hella 700ff's. Could always look at changing out the bulbs to some 100w's.

Why not do the Hella 500s at $52 for the kit at WallyWorld and replace the 55W bulbs with 100w bulbs? They are available at any auto parts store for $5 each.
