Just a thought..
So I have been thinking lately. I wonder if I can somehow put a winch on my truck, but still keep the sport bumper? I believe Id have to cut around it and what not... I dont know, I just think it would be cool to have a winch but still have the sport bumper.....
BTW this is just an idea. If I can and ever do this itll be in year. Its just a thought for now....
Also, what is TheBigRedOne's problem? Im not trying to take any swings at him from my "internet lair"
, but Im not gonna lie I feel really offended by him from all he said on AussieCollegeKid's post. I honestly feel like hes not really representing the Forum to well with the way he acts. Im not trying to start anything but I feel embarrassed and offended right now.

just fab up a drop bracket inbetween the frame rails and drop it down and throw a fairlead right below the bumper..we did it on my brothers 98 chevy and it worked pretty well most people dont notice it because its tucked up under the bumper and it gets the job done when you need it
There is plenty of room behind the bumper to mount a winch. Two pieces of angle iron welded to the frame rails where the winch mounts. Then cut a piece where the license plate is, and mount the roller there. It would look stock, like on the Power Wagons.
TheBigRedOne is entitled to his own opinion. The way he presents it may be dicky in a way, but thats all right. Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one, and they all stink.

another idea would be to mount a receiver hitch in there somehow? and mount the winch to a drawbar. this would allow you to use the winch on either end, or on another vehicle.
it might be easier to mount the receiver than the big honking winch.

What about a hidden receiver hitch and a portable mount for the winch???
and as far as TheBigRedOne is concerned, he's on Post Approval for right now, which means his posts must be approved by one of the 2nd Gen moderators before they show up.
Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but he's broken rules numerous times, not to mention that he appears to not only have bought his Ram from Viper23, but also bought his IP address. The one when he registered was also the last one Viper23 logged in with.
The 2nd Gen mods picked up on that pretty much since day one, but were going to let it slide if he would just behave himself. Obviously, once an a$$, always an a$$...
edit: well sh*t, dhvaughan beat me to the receiver hitch idea... LOL...

i have had the same thought. i like the reciver hitch thing. cause pulling non running cars up on a trailer can be a pain in the ****...and then there have been times i could use one to get myself out of a tricky situation (read ditch) lol
i have a front mount trailer reseer in the shop/garge waiting to put on the truck, i will get the part number next time im down there

This one maybe just what you are looking for and it is compatible with Warn winches. I can't find the load rating on it though.
