It's been my experience that a guy who'll deceive you to get your esteem will be even quicker to deceive you to when something more tangible is to be had. I'm not saying that every liar is a thief, or that every scorpion is of a mind to sting, but I'm quick to shuttle either out of my house as soon as I've detected one.
All that said: If the boy's parents either screwed him up or failed through no fault of their own to correct a character defect he was born with, then it's up to the society in which the boy operates to at least try to nudge him into line. If he learned his lesson here then we've done a service to the rest of the world; if he didn't, then we've done a service to ourselves. It's a win for us either way. What was that thing Hillary said? "It takes a village to raise a child".

Well i was just saying mopars are a dying breed and without the younger generations to keep them going theyre bound to go extinct more so then they are already. Which could economically mean no more repo parts for older cars or trucks, no after market parts for these cars or trucks, and not as many sweet looking cudas, challangers, coronets, darts ect. That would be a sad day for me.

you're nicer about it than I am unreg- every liar is a thief, even if the only theft is that of truth.. outside of that, the two are often in close company..
furthermore- anytime you placate a lie, you enter a non-written, non-verbalized contract with that person.. and the lies continue.. if you call them, you set the record straight and become known as a straight shooter and one not to be taken lightly..
I can deal with liars, so long as I know what they are.. everything from their mouths will be under scrutiny from that point forward.. thieves, on the other hand.. playground rules rule- and that is that..
roger out.

Well, his last post was the tenth, his last visit was the 11th. My guess is, he read the rest of this thread, and decided that this was not the place for him to be. Not like he made a real good impression here......
I will not miss him.
That said, if he wants to come back, participate, LOSE the arrogance, and be truthful, so far as I am concerned, he would be welcome.

As long as there's a buck to be made, someone's gonna make it. We're in the aftermarket lull right now, but in another five or ten years when those who are still nursing these old beasties along are mostly enthusiasts instead of mostly broke-*** kids, the aftermarket will have a second bloom.
Eh, that really depends upon the specific liar in question. Some just don't care whether or not you're going to call them out because they have an entire arsenal of BS they'll use to make you look bad for doing it. I call them out anyway, then boot their butts over the horizon regardless of how they respond. It limits the size of my circle of acquaintances, but it increases my circle of friends. It's a good trade.

But at the same time you need a younger generation (my generation) to be enthusiasts of these cars or else there wont be a buck to be made. The mopar parts that people specialize in are usually so expensive that it keeps most people out of owning a mopar anyways, we dont need anymore help defeating ourselves. I do agree that mopars are not a broke kid car to restore but at the same time like i said you have to have enthusiasts or else my generation is not going to want to have anything to do with expensive *** mopars in 10 years when we start getting some disposable income coming our way..its just a thought my dad keeps preeching..
