bottom line- when you're arrogant with no reason to be, or spin a tall tale with sole purpose of propping yourself up in some way, you become a target.. age doesn't matter, though I have less respect for an adult attempting such than I do a young, dumb, full of spunk kid..

he presented a target, we fired.. it's that simple.

I think its a guy thing to spin tall tales to prop ourselves up (The size of fish we catch, Power our trucks make, Number of races we have won) ect. Although the internet does give some ppl big webos to post somethings i think the kid was just trying to defend himself and try and earn some respect by saying some things not lose respect. The original post was just a question on licensing, I dont think he ever intended to spark this huge thing and expect to be told about how the driving age should be improved or learn about politics... I will also add that a huge number of people on this fourm are under 30 and (not pertaining to anyone individual) pretending to be some old man trying to tell this kid about the driving age being too low is a little irrational.

Not that i want to get into a political battle but i think if you can go to war and have to pay taxes at 18 you should be able to vote. I dunno about alcohol i dont think even most 21year olds are that responsible with it. Lol but yes i think the way the law is set with 15 as a learners permit and 16 for provisional license is great because not everyone is raised in a car family or on a farm and not everyone is good at driving.

Honestly, if they raise the voting age to 21, or whatever the **** they want, thats not fair whats so ever. So I can go off and fight there battles at 18 but I cant vote against it? I cant voice my opinion? How am I supposed to get "experience" if I cant vote? I understand people dont always vote for how the feel but who cares. Its America. Its how we were founded ya know? But they need to lower the drinking limit. No one is really responsible with there alcohol either. I mean over time ya, but ****. When I was in college this past semester everyone drank. I was ****ed up every night of the week haha.. n joke pretty damn fun, thats all I have to say.. thats just my 2 cents though. and thats all I have to say.

Honestly, after I got my permit at 15 I didnt get my license till I was 17. Im glad I didnt get it till then to tell ya the truth. Granted I still had an accident(rollover, black ice, concrete drainage grate... not a combo) a few months after I got it, but that happens to everyone.

i agree, im not in college, but my cousin drinks every night, and hes screwed up almost every night. about the accident thing though. ive had my license for 5 years, and the only accident i have been in was being rear ended in my moms jeep. the only serious things that have happened to me, is losing my license for speeding. here in nh you dont need a permit, you can start driving at 15 1/2, as long ads you are with a licensed driver over the age of 25. you can obtain your "youth operators" license at 16, and it remains that way until you turn 21. when you have a youth op license and get pulled over and ticketed, first time you lose your license for 20 days, 2nd time 45 days, and 3rd time 90 days. after that its its up to the state and usually requires and sr-22 which is like 1500 dollar a month insurance, which insurance isnt required here in NH either. i hit all 3 of those license pulls, and then some. in 2009 i lost my license for 225 days. and i was almost labeled as a habitual offender which i would have lost my license for something like 5 years i believe. when i was younger i used to talk like the op did. however, i have since learned its not the smartest way to think. haha.. alot of things change when you are able to drink legally and become a father all at the same time.

I don't. I measure my fish when they're over 3 pounds to make sure I don't exaggerate the size when I talk about it, or I take a picture of it.
I doubt my truck has more than 200 ponies hitting the pavement after the mods I've done to it.
The only races I've won were a few in video games, a couple on go-carts and one on foot (my brother in law ran into a tree during a liquor fueled race to the back door).
As far as the etc... goes, I don't lie to make myself look good and I get the urge to back hand people that do.

the first time i drove a semi was at the age of four, hbu
no one was in the truck
the guy that owned the semi, his wife was a dwarf therefore she had those extensions and the guy that owned the semi put them on there so that i could drive it
oh wait u have to be non mentally challenged to do that
Arrogance, lies, and insults. Now there is a winning combination.... This kid got EXACTLY what he deserved.
