I've spent so many hours staring at that page I've got the thing memorized. The name that escapes you is Ramzilla. It's actually a 48RE.

PATC FTW.

Yea, thats the more efficient way to go when dealing with anyone is to do the work yourself. But as for me, I find it hard sometimes to do a tune-up, let alone dig into a transmission. One day I am sure that I'll have to something with my tranny (its starting to shift hard and slips occasionally). I think I'll end up dropping the pan and changing out the filter. I may try and check the solenoid and adjust the bands, but I need to look up on how to do that properly.

Thanks to dodge forums and all of the knowledgeable forumites, I feel like I am able to tackle some of these things that I thought I'd never do.

additional trans cooler. Dump the check valve, if you haven't already. Inline external filter. Trans temp gauge. Deep pan. Re-gear the diffs......

The best external coolers have an electric fan that will cool the fins regardless of the truck moving or not. You'll need to write that one in though, and you might want an in cab switch to turn it of in the winter months.

If you go passive cooling, get the biggest one that will fit.
