I'd pay $1800 to have a quality re-build done before I thought about wasting my money on some eBay nobody or AutoZone transmission.

One advantage of having it done locally is, if there is a problem, you can show up at the shop IN PERSON, and have your issues addressed. Including removal/reinstallation.... there is a lot to be said for that on something as intricate as a trans......
yeah im thinking that neither come with a torque converter and autozone stuff i have always been kinda iffy about ya know? yeah i hear what your saying about it they place said they give a 6 month warrenty on i guess so that makes me feel a little more reassured about it

The NAPA stuff was 30 cents cheaper than the valvoline and he didn't have a case of it, they did have a case of the Valvoline so I took that. My Trans took almost all of it.

This truck has never shifted so good, and now it kickdowns and gives me all the power I want when I give it gas, and yet rides on the interstate at 1500 at 60 and close to 2000 at 70.

Smooth, but When I do the next fluid filter change, I think I'm gonna drop in a better TC, and add the Sonax kit. Other than that its doing good..
