Before you do that........ Unplug the eight pin connector on the drivers side of the trans, take the truck for a ride, you will have to shift the gears manually, there will be NO automatic function AT ALL. If it shifts when you tell it to..... replace the governor pressure sensor, and solenoid. (and while you are in there, adjust the bands, change the filter...) If it doesn't, THEN start looking for a rebuilder.

Engine type: Magnum

Can anyone help on where I can obtain that document, that the car is really the year of 1996 Indianapolis car was the handler?
Email dodge directly, give them your vin number, and they will send you a build sheet for the truck, that will tell you EXACTLY what it came with from the factory. (well, power rack and pinion steering aside....... )

The governor pressure sensor and solenoid are part of what that connector goes to. Disconnecting it causes the system to default to max pressure. So, no automagic functions at all.

That's possible.... There is a DIY in the faq section for cleaning the solenoid. Sensor isn't really serviceable.

^tps? i doubt it. does the engine rev up correctly when you mash the gas pedal? that's more or less all the tps does, is tell the computer where the pedal's at so it can increase fuel and timing.
