so i got a radio in my 94 from the girlfriends old 02 dango...i had to get a adapter for it to hook up then i had to cut wires...my question is i a looking for a dvd player and wondering what this din 2 din 1 thing means...not wanting to spend alot of cash on a radio and it not fit

Stock radios are double din.

sweet so a double din radio will fit right in without me having to get a adapter kit

Yep. should be the right size for the current hole in the dash.

You would still need a wiring adapter, and you would still need to get the correct install faceplate. Din1 and Din2 just identifies what size they are, regardless which Din it is you still have to get a new faceplate, the stock one is all one piece so you can't reuse it.

stock radio faceplate is part of the stock radio..... new radio should have its own.

yeah when i put the durango radio in i had to cut the tabs off

stock radios are din and a half, to make a din 2 fit you have to do some custom fab work. im pretty sure there is a post on here some where
