Default Checking Codes

Anyone know where to find the link on how to do the key trick for checking out CEL codes? I had it this morning but now I can't find it.

If you had the info about your truck in your sig, we might be able to help more accurately instead of guessing.

Sorry. I added the info to my sig. Not showing any codes now but when I try the key thing the OD doesn't do anything. I was just curious how to do it.

I figured it was a 98, for some reason you can't read the codes that year without a code reader. It makes no sense, but when do car makers do anything that makes sense?

I have a Superchips tuner. I just wanted to see if I could read the codes if I'm away on a trail or out of town or something. But yeah your right about MFG'S it would make too much sense to make it easy for someone to be able to do it.

I used to keep my tuner in the truck when I had my 98.
