End-all Be-all plenum thread
The Cat might already be gutted, Theres an O2 simulator plugged into my post cat, the O2 is just plugging the hole. And theres gobs of weld all over the exhaust, not to mention its cracked halfway around the outlet of the cat. So im going to just cut the cat off and make a temporary fix for it. Or peek to see if its gutted, theres only mayyybe 1.5'-2' of pipe left of my exhaust after the cat, and its about to break off as well
Yes and no. Almost everything I try to get for my truck locally is special order.
Even my damned spark plugs had to be ordered!

Seriously???? Isn't Baton Rouge a pretty good sized city? Or, is your area like mine, and you can be 30 miles away, but, still, supposedly live IN that city?
Pretty much. I don't live in BR. Just put that on forums...don't like giving everything away.
I'm about an hour north of BR...in the woods behind the woods.
And I didn't know a member made Plenum plates here at the time. Either way, just got home and there's a nice package full of Plenum goodies on my porch.
I would offer a package with the gasket set but do not see the point as you can get it for the same price I can and I would have to increase shipping costs do the the larger packaging and added weight.
Really? My plate is 60 bucks plus shipping versus 90 bucks plus shipping from hughes, that's 30 bucks right there, that is your oil change and your coolant needed for the intake plate replacement. Every auto parts store I have gone to always has the preferred Fel-Pro gasket on hand, never have had to order one and wait.

Always like to support other board members (not here yet, still new). I've been putting this off for a LONG time. Finally got switched to day shift (used to work 2pm - 2am on HD Tractor/Trailers) and actually have time to do it.
So no offense to anyone here. I am fairly new to this forum...just stumbled on it a few weeks ago while helping a friend out with an A/C issue ('07 Ram).
Good stuff.
OT: Got everything off in about 1.5 hours. No real issues other than the nut/bolt on the power steering mount (with all the grounds) wouldn't break from the stud.
No broken bolts. Basically just taking my time cleaning the mating surfaces and a few other things before it goes back together. If you hustle, this job can easily be done in a few hours.
