Yea that Felpro is much beefier than the Mopar gasket. It's supposed to be updated too.

Yeah I got that except my IM bolts aren't TTY, just because they are torqued to spec doesn't mean they're TTY..but thanks tho...

Victor reinz came with the hughes plenum kit and it was the metal kind..That's also what the dealership sells..I haven't had an issue yet..I figured what would last longer fiber/metal, what's smaller and offers less of a chance of leaking..metal IM, metal pan so metal gasket...

No, don't use the Victor-reinz gasket. Metal for an air tite won't work.

FYI, one of my thought's on the belly pan gasket & bolts are that they're inside the engine so metal good, fiber not as good..as for the bolts, they're small with small threads and cheap but cleaned up & red thread locker..could/should be just fine...

The reason the gasket gets squeezed out is because the old pans are steel and the block is aluminum causing them to expand and contract at different rates which squeezes the gasket out. The new pans like hughes and aps use aluminum pans so that they heat up and cool off at the same rate. The Felpro is material on the outside and metal on the inside. I was talking to a buddy who has done a lot of plenum repairs and he said that both gaskets look like they would work indefinitely. He uses the Mopar gasket and has never had one go bad as long as the new plenum pan is aluminum. He said the Felpro looked good too. Either one would work just the same apparently. He does not recommend using the intake end gaskets as they are prone to moving around during install and you may have to take it all apart again. He said to use a thick bead of Permatex Right Stuff I think it was.

If you see oil pooling in there anywhere, it's bad. It especially likes to accumulate in the back corners. Gotta pull the throttle body to get a good look. (or, if yours is like mine... you can just crack open the throttle, and SEE the oil pooling inside..... I did mine a year or so ago.)
