Recharging a/c

ok ill look into that and see if i can find the orfice tube, that means ill have to evacuate the system and recharge it huh? thanks and sorry for all the confusion.

You see that tube running under the air cleaner hose, coming out of the accum.. that's the low side(suction line). Look under the air cleaner tube and see if there is a port in that AC line.

if your talking about the line that has the circle fitting with the guard and turns to rubber part way , thats the line that runs to the compressor and the port is too big. the gauge fit on the line by the fender which is the aluminum line in the pic at the very top running to the left.

so if my orifice tube was clogged wouldnt that make the pressure low?? its reading 135

You can't do this without a good set of gauges. You are doing this with the engine running and AC on full blast correct?

yea ac is on full blast and engine runnin.

You need a real set of gauges to properly diagnose the system.

the gauges will tell if the orifice is plugged? im going to try and see if i can find a shop that will hook it up to the gauges without charging me anything, i dont have a problem fixing it i just dont know how to diagnose whats wrong. ill let you know what they say.thanks for the info

Good luck finding a shop that will diagnose if for free..... probably not gonna happen. You can probably buy a set of gauges for less than what it will cost to have someone else look at it.

Did you replace anything or was the system open for any reason? And what is the compressor clutch doing when you put the AC on?
