No Start, Electrical Issues
Don't bother sending it out to have it flashed, get an SCT tuner from HemiFever, for 265, get three tunes, free updates, and also can read codes and such with the tuner. Can reflash your truck as often as ya like, swapping for the different tunes, depending on what you want.
And its cheaper.....
And its cheaper.....
I had my PCM flashed in mid 2006 by B&G Performance for $350.00 and they are still charging the same. I have checked all the wiring, connectors and sensors and I continue to have the same problem, no start and a cold(weak) spark. My assumption is the PCM is not functioning properly.
Im considering buying a PCM from the salvage for $125.00, if that solves the problem then I will send the PCM to get flash. Mad_Scientist, where did you get your PCM flashed for $70.00?

I can't see how it could add up to be anywhere around $350 though. All they do is hook it up to a computer for 20 or so minutes. That's if you can get past the "we have to run some tests" BS and get straight down to business.
Regardless, I'd eliminate (and re-eliminate) all other options before dropping that kind of $ to replace it.

oops, i reread the first post that said it was running fine before you did the overhaul. so - there's no reason to assume that the PCM has gone bad just sitting there - unless you didn't disconnect the battery when plugging/unplugging things.
i'm no expert, but if you're getting voltage for 1 second at ignition on, and then loosing it, it "might" be an ASD shutdown. take a look at the very detailed no-start threads from cmckenna. he had some really detailed troubleshooting tips.

I have been troubleshooting the problem and I did make a little progress. I have spark out of the coil and on cylinders # 5 and # 8. THATS IT! I switched the wires around, changed the cap and rotor and still the same problem. Any Ideas?
Try and help you out here.......
Need to check voltage at pcm C1 PIN 17 ?
Voltage at C1 pin 22 ?
Voltage at C2 pin 31 ?
DATA LINK CONNECTOR to check the power grounds. pin 4 is chassis ground and pin 5 is sensor ground check resistance ?
