What is the little sensor to the left of the thermostat housing by the heater hose? It appears to be broken

I also have a transmission temp sensor code, could that cause this issue? I also just replaced the pickup-coil and crank sensor and still having the same issues. I have a Snap-on scanner and hooked it to the DLC on the truck, and read the data, what I see is as i'm cranking the ASD relay is turning on, is this normal?

That is the temp sensor for the gauge in the dash. Your PCM doesn't care about that one really. (even though it reads the signal from that sensor, and then tells the dash what to do, a rather silly system if you ask me.....) The other sensor, with two wires, is the one the PCM uses to determine how much fuel to dump.

The PCM will turn on the ASD relay as soon as it senses the engine it turning. (cps or ckps will tell it so.) if it turns off after three seconds of cranking, that implies that it is not getting a signal from cps, or ckps, and thus trips the ASD relay. (turns it off)

Will the truck start with the pedal on the floor still?

It will start for just a second and die with the pedal to the floor

Pull a couple plugs, and see if they are wet.

Look at 'em again. I still suspect that you have some issues with the temp circuit for the PCM. I would not be at all surprised if they were really wet again.

Stepping down hard on the pedal while cranking puts the PCM into clear flood mode, so, it SEVERELY cuts back on how much gas it is putting in there.

I have an ect reading on the scanner since I replaced the sensor. But I have a trans temp sensor code also, could that cause this? I just pulled a plug and its pretty dry
