Default update on new truck

For those who did not read my last post: I had bought a 99 Dodge Ram Sport club cab, bright canary yellow. Sharp looking truck! Traded my standard cab same year for it. That was Tuesday last week. Well Sat. afternoon I got t-boned by a Chevy S-10. I believe they are going to total it. Luckily I have gap ins. The old geezer got my front wheel, fender, both driver side doors, and the bed. I was hauling an air compressor and it went through the back glass. Buckled my floorboard.

I cant find another one anywhere that is not black. Please help! I want a 99-01 club cab sport prefer a 2wd all ready have a 4wd.

oh man that totally sucks. sorry to hear it. be patient and you will find what your looking for. One thing to mention from an upgrade standpoint... go with anything 1999 or older... my 2000 has 3 cats on it and it sucks. damn expensive to swap out 3 cats...

Yup that sucks but on the bright side having a big truck like a dodge you live to buy another. Id gladly trade anything I own for my life. Id sue the old fart. I dont know the details but where my parents live there are a ton of older drivers who constantly blow stop signs and wreck their cars. This makes me want to enforce yearly eye tests for people who clearly are over their prime. No reason to kill someone because they are too proud to lose a drivers license. ------> Jump ----> Im off my soapbox now!

But Im glad to hear you are ok..

Must depend where you live because I have a 2001 and it has one cat and 2 o2 sensors. Of course thats here in Indiana, may be different in other areas due to emissions.

"Luckily I have gap ins." Whats gap insurance? I'm trying to find a company that'll let you get a policy to make up difference between blue book for total and actual replacement value for similar used truck, if truck is totaled. Is there such a thing?

I'm pretty sure my truck only has one cat. I don't think they changed anything with the cat when putting the flowmaster on. It doesn't look like it has been modified any.

Gap Ins usually is around 4-5 hundred dollars and is offered by the lender to cover just this occurance. Pays the remainder of the loan over insurance pay-off.

UPDATE: the bodyshop says they will probably fix the truck. that is good I guess depends on if they can get it totally straight. we shall see.
