Default The front axle CAD

hey guys, curious if i can get some info here, my 4x4 seems to engage and disengage when it wants to when im on the trail and left me super stuck in a spot where i shouldnt have gotten stuck at all the other day. heres my symptoms : my 4x4 light doesnt come on when i shift into 4x4, 4x4 works in both 4 low and high but sometimes cuts out leaving me in 2 wheel, is there a fix for this? should i run new rubber lines and cut the steel ones out? do i replace the whole vaccum motor in the axle? HELP !!! i wanna go muddin!!!

I'd leave the steel lines cause they're stronger just check for any holes. The switch on top of the transfer case might be going bad but I think normally they just go out.

Don't replace anything blind. Find out what the problem is. Verify that you get vacuum on the lines at the cad for both 2, and 4 wd. Take it from there.

what would be the easiest way of checking for leaks? i put it in 4 wheel while it was running, pulled the vac plug off and only the right hole was blowing air...or maybe it was sucking...cant remember but only 1 hole was working. do both holes blow or suck air?

It's a breeze to install. Took maybe an hour and as long as you don't melt the cable it'll last for a long time. It's actually really cool cause you have 2w low with the kit lol.

Without the transfer case controlling the CAD, you can just shift into 4L with the CAD disengaged -- bingo, 2L. It's useful, but it makes it easy to shred rear diffs, too.
