Yeah, they can be a real bear....... A combination of chemicals, and heat, is what it usually takes. You can also just buy new ones, (dealer, or parts store) and cut the old ones off. (make sure you have a clamp on the spring pack when you do that though, otherwise, you may get a surprise......)

Yeah I was hoping I could just put the new aal under the top 2 leafs lol. It would be a lot easier

Oh yeah I forgot to ask... When I took off the 2 upper leafs I seen a bolt going through the second set of leafs that were on top of the lift block. Is that a bolt or a pin? or a size head if you know?

Ill try to get pics tonight when I go home, I didnt drive my truck to work today I drove my camaro.. But yeah the setup on the truck now is this... From bottom up.. Rear axle,stock block,about 5-6 leafs and then a plate and on top of the plate theres another 2 leafs.

Oooo great....I hope I just didnt spend money on a useless lift kit for it.. lol.. what is the stock lift block height on a 97 2500?

Ooooo my.... If I remember right the rear blocks were higher then 5 inches....
