Default Weird smoke

I noticed today out of the two center vents a very faint smoke. It has no smell. Once I turn on the heat or air it goes away. It seems to only happen when not driving. I doesn't happen all the time.

Any ideas?

Does your A/C still work? Sorta sounds like a small refrigerant leak in the evap core.

That's kinda suspicious...... I would say leak check it with dye, but, not like you can even pretend to see the evap core......

With UV dye he wouldn't have to -- just hold the black light to the vapor coming out the vents.

Before my heater core got really bad and started fogging the windows it would let out a little puff of steam from the two center vents when I first turned on the air.

It does it with the heat and air off nothing on but the truck. I think it's the heater core as I get a film any time I run the vents.

Yep, that's the heater core.
Don't put it off until it gets cold like I did when mine was leaking. Removing the dash isn't too much fun when you can't feel your digits.

I plan on doing it before summer gets over.
