Default New guy in Florida

Hey guys. Just picked up a 1998 Ram 1500 a few days ago. This is the first Dodge I've ever owned- always had Ford's or Chevy's. The truck has a 360, auto, 4x2, SLT trim package. I'm going to go ahead and change all the fluids, plugs, cap/rotor, PCV. I read on here about the check valve in the trans line and plan on doing that soon. Anything else I need to do while I'm at it?

Check your plenum. Read the sticked plenum thread at the top of this forum.

Make sure you get the pcv valve from the dealer.

O yes forgot to add I read about the plenum. I have to check that as well. Why only get the PCV from the dealer? One more thing- I keep finding conflicting info on here about what class hitch I have. The truck came with the factory tow package/receiver and a 7 prong plug. What class hitch is it- 3 or 4? I was hoping to be able to pull a car trailer and am pretty sure I would need a class IV for that.

You can pull a car trailer, lots of people on here have. The aftermarket pcv valves are junk.

You want the PCV valve from the dealer because aftermarket PCV valves are garbage.
