Default my high idle become low idle now WTF

ok my high idle where it went to 2k RPMS , now at a red light my engine will shut off.. and some times it will go to the high idle and go back and forth yadda yadda yadda...

ive done research and this is the problems that it could be and i dont want to be throwuing money trying too find it , wisha check engine light would pop up

most problem are

post 02 sensor
IAC
TPS
Battery going bad
CPS
Bad rotor
bad spark plugs/or faughty
ignition coil
alternator

i dunno what too do ..

I would clean the throttle body, and IAC first. That is free. If that doesn't fix it, watch down the TB while cranking, and see if the IAC moves in or out..... if it doesn't, replace it. If it does, replace TPS.

will it throw a code for a bad fuel pump ? im going to tackle the free stuff this weekend

Nope. PCM doesn't care about the pump, or fuel pressure.

+1 on the free stuff first.
You can test the TPS with a multimeter, Haynes has the procedure in it.
I would be thinking it was a wonky IAC if it were my truck doing that.

ya i think i gotta get a new IAC , last summer i cleaned mine with carb cleaner less if got that dirty agian .

i had a high (and surging) idle when cold. i replaced the IAC a couple of times with no improvement. i replaced the TPS and it fixed the problem. I had no codes.

03 Durango would stall at lights and stop signs. Had 5.9L. Would also flip lockup torque converter out with cruise on. TPS was problem...All 3 times.....
