problem with spark plugs
i was changing my spark plugs when i sliced my arm and dropped the wires that go to the top, i may have mixed 2 of my leads up. im not sure if i placed them on correctly. starts great but sounds different, could that be a cause. new at this so any help you could tell me. only two could be mixed. sorry i have a 1996 dodge ram 1500. 5.9l

I put them in backwards once. You really know you are wrong because the wire ends will not fit flat on the distributor.
HOWEVER, your problem could be that you have a loose connection on the distributor or a spark plug. That would be a one cylinder MISS and it would not be very noticeable at idle. But you will notice when driving.
Check to make sure that you have the boot over the plug and it is locked in. I always give a bit of a tug to make sure.
